Why ride Buller: ”When you’ve lost your voice from hooting, your face has cramped from grinning, your eyes ache from opening so wide and you arrive at the bottom of a descent, you know it’s a been good one” (FLOW 2014).
Mt Buller is undoubtedly one of the greatest destinations to Mt bike in Aust. It boast over 100km’s of purpose built Mt Bike trails, including cross-country, enduro & downhill trails. Its latest instalment a 42km long trail is the jewel in the crown. The Australian Alpine Epic is the only trail in the Southern Hemisphere to be accredited with an Epic Trail status by the IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) must watch vid below, (see trail info for more detail below).

Brief plan: We’ll get you there Friday night to ride all weekend. We'll sort your accommodation, provide knowledge and guidance on the right trails for you, hire bikes (if needed), assist with bike repairs and get you home after a great weekend Sunday night.
The details:
Friday: We’ll leave Geelong mid to late arvo (3-5pm), stop for dinner on the way, arrive at your accommodation at Mt Buller Resort (8-10pm). Saturday: rise and go shred at your leisure, taking full advantage of the great food, coffee and shuttles available, hit the pub for dinner or cook up a feast. Sunday: vacate your accommodation (9am-ish), pack the bus, then hit the trails again for the final shred until mid arvo (2pm-ish), descend into the Delatite valley to meet the bus and have a much need dip in the river, then head to the Mirimbah Store or Mansfeild for a late lunch (2-3pm). Finally relax for the journey home. Arrive in Geelong 7-8pm-ish. |
Costs: Transport $200 (to/from Buller) + Accom from $50* per night, additional for food & shuttles (if required). *Accommodation rate varies according to availability when booking, so get in early!

Accommodation: Andy’s Fat Tyre Lodges on Mt Buller (ride from your door).
Pick up/drop off points: We leave from Grovedale. Pick up points include: Geelong CBD, Melbourne Ring Rd Maccas (West bound), Bunker Hill Hungary Jacks and Wallan Maccas.
Shuttle Info:
Cross Country/Gravity: If you want to do the longer trails which descend to the bottom of the hill, i.e.: The Epic, Delatite & Klingsporn, then Mirimbar Store operates shuttle every weekend to get you back up the hill. Times: (to Buller) 9am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, 4:30pm & (to TBJ) 10:15am. Cost: $(update) single shuttle or $(update) all-day Ph: 57 775 529 (bookings recommended).
Downhill: for exclusive DH trail shuttles within the Resort call ‘Blue Dirt’, Cost: 1 day $(update), 2 day $(update). bookings essential.
What you need: Bike (or hire), Helmet (or hire), Bike shorts, Bike shoes, Gloves (or hire), Hydration pack, Towel, Linen (Pillow slip, top & bottom sheet), Casual clothes (for around the lodge), Cash, Food/loads of snacks (little available on-site).
